What is Veritas?
Veritas is a one or two days a week homeschool tutorial for Christian families desiring support, encouragement, and structure in their homeschooling. For the 2020-21 school year we are expanding to two days for optional Spanish and art classes.
All subjects are taught from a biblical worldview and are integrated as much as possible. The integrated humanities program is on Thursdays at Nolensville First Baptist Church from 9-2. Optional science classes follow from 2-3:45.

Kindergarten students start learning how to read in a peaceful, nurturing, encouraging environment. Literature, poetry, music and art are a part of every kindergarten day!
A Review from a mom of a kindergarten student:
My son absolutely loves going here! He has grown so much, and loves his friends here! I definitely recommend Veritas Nashville to anyone who is looking for an awesome homeschooling group of people to connect with!

A special note about our program
and the recent stay at home orders:
This school year took an unusual turn in March, when we had to change our in person class days to distance learning. I was very impressed with how the students, parents, and teachers just jumped in, rolled up their sleeves, and kept working on. We had to make a lot of adjustments, but I believe that the integrity of the Veritas program was preserved, and that students and families were supported but not overwhelmed. Of course, homeschool moms are used to working hard!
As I read the news and try to understand things the best that I am able, I don't think this Corona virus situation is over. At this point, I am working towards starting our school year in August, meeting in person at the church. Unfortunately, as I understand it, there is a possibility that cases of the virus will rise in the fall or winter. We may find ourselves once again with stay at home orders. We don't know, of course, but I want to let you know that we are already working on ideas and plans to more effectively support the students and the parents if this does happen again. (Obviously I hope it does not happen again!) Humanities and science classes will continue, even if we are not able to meet in person. I know it is different than dropping your children off on Thursdays, but we will all do the best we can. This year the teachers worked very hard to continue our program, even without our Thursdays. I know the parents appreciated having a plan to follow.
However, if we do end up with stay at home orders again, I will cancel the Spanish and art classes until we are able to meet in person. Those classes are very activity based, and I don't think we can do them justice without meeting in person. If we end up temporarily cancelling Spanish and art, parents will not be expected to pay tuition for those classes until those classes meet in person again.
Please let me know if you have questions about our plans for next year.
Please contact me if you are interested in teaching for us. We are looking for a first grade teacher, a third/ fourth grade teacher, an art teacher, and a science teacher for the seventh and eighth grade class.
