What is Veritas?
Veritas is a one day a week homeschool tutorial for Christian families desiring structure and accountability in their homeschooling. Classes will be on Thursdays at Nolensville First Baptist Church from 9-2. Classes will begin August 23rd.
Kindergarten students make Zebras for the letter Z!
New to homeschooling? We can help!
Students attend Veritas School one day per week during the school year. (Parents may drop off their children.) Then the student completes assignments at home under the supervision of the parents.
The program is Christian and classical; all subjects are taught with a biblical perspective.
The curriculum integrates the following subjects: history, literature, composition, grammar, study skills, logic, critical thinking, and vocabulary development.
Many families find that the program combines the best of home schooling with the advantages of a classroom education!
The purpose of Veritas Classical Schools is to help mold students into thinkers, young men and women who do not simply repeat the information they have been taught but rather who analyze, critique, and affect the world by applying Biblical wisdom to their lives, families, and communities.
It is our goal that Veritas students learn to THINK, biblically and logically, not just to blindly memorize seemingly unrelated and irrelevant facts required to do "well" on tests. The Veritas student is taught to be a lifelong learner, to consistently evaluate and critique relevant issues, and to always seek to skillfully communicate his thoughts.
All students at Veritas Schools learn factual and philosophical truth, learn to evaluate the messages they are receiving from the world around them, and learn to defend their beliefs in a persuasive manner.
Even though classes have started, it is our policy to accept applications for admissions as long as there is room in a particular class. At this point, there is space in all classes except for 7th/ 8th grade.
